The work of Scot born blind in one eye, who became one of the fashion world’s most successful photographers is to be recognised at next month’s Scottish Fashion Awards.
Edinburgh-born Albert Watson’s pictures have featured on more than 250 Vogue covers.
Watson, 63, one of the highest-earning photographers in the world, will be honoured by the awards for all the masterpieces he has contributed to the fashion world. His subjects have included George Bush, Mick Jagger, Uma Thurman and Clint Eastwood.
Also to be given the same honor at the awards is late Bill Gibb, a designer who revolutionised British fashion during the 1970s and ’80s, with Twiggy, Bianca Jagger and Elizabeth Taylor among his clients.
