Pamela Anderson is requesting her fans to kick their boots if they are made of animal skin or fur.
The strong animal rights activist was aghast to discover that her favorite Ugg boots were made of shaved sheep skin and now the Baywatch babe is trying to seek more humane substitutes. The blonde is now thinking of setting up an internet shoe shop which will sell only her designs. If this is so, then the entire mayhem about her Ugg boots might just be a publicity stunt for her next business venture. By making a hue and cry about those Baywatch boots, she wants her fans to wait and watch her shoe collection.
Anderson has written on her website,
I’m getting rid of our Uggs - I feel so guilty for that craze being started around Baywatch days. I used to wear them with my red swimsuit to keep warm - never realising that they were skin! I thought they were shaved kindly? People like to tell me all the time that I started that trend - yikes! Well let’s start a new one - don’t buy Uggs. Buy Stella McCartney or juicy boots. I’m looking for alternatives myself for my boys and the men in my life. I’m designing some right now for my family and will try and have some available on my website soon.
