Those women who have bid adieu to their childhood days but still miss the Barbie, can add some Barbie touch to their jewelry collection with Layna and Alan Friedman’s new jewelry collection inspired by Barbie – the Barbie Rocks.
The Barbie Rocks collection features two necklaces – the Luxe Barbie Pendant and Barbie DogTag and Barbie bracelets. The 18K white, yellow or rose gold necklaces are studded with white or black diamonds and yellow or pink sapphires. The Barbie bracelets are made of sterling silver with 18K rose gold charms. The pendants are rather uniquely designed displaying the typical Barbie doll silhouette with classic ponytail, long eyelashes and ski-jump nose. The Barbie Rocks collection has also added the charitable element to the fashion statement by agreeing to donate a portion of the sale proceeds to the Children Affected by AIDS Foundation. Prices for this collection range from $185 to $15,000.
