Shows like Miss Universe I feel are wastage of time and resources. I am not saying it because I hate such contests, its just that I find them a bit too silly and bizarre.



The swim suit section is eye candy, but the choreographed dance, the flag waving supporters (As if it’s a soccer match) and the fact, that the host nation is at least in the top 10, all bother me. And, the always there annoying gay commentator drooling over the contestants and the boring not known entertainers waste precious time.



Seeing the ladies walk in impossibly high heels and outfits that don’t have any margins for them to breathe make such contests even more painful.



Hence, I am rigidly of the opinion that such contests are useless and hardly serve any purpose.
