For the women who are always ticketed by the fashion police, here’s some good news. The Fredriksson line of fashions are created with the body and not around it. At least this is what the H.Fredriksson agrees.
As evident from the fashion shows, these designer clothes are mostly loose yet cut according to body contours. This is basically a new genre of fashions mostly targeted towards women.
She has been busy over the last two and half years working on her own designer line. According to Fredriksson, the balance is found by mixing opposites. The designer says:
The balance in my collection is found in the mixing of opposites; loose silhouettes matches with tapered shapes or elegant cuts with a raw finish.
This line of clothes involve silk dresses with wool tights. The designer is currently based out of Brooklyn-NYC, and she is working on city oriented clothing (not country) mostly meant for women. This class of designer wear falls under the indie category. Although H.Fredriksson has a different term for her group of clothing ‘depression chic’ style. Also, she considers the body as a sculpture and designs her clothing accordingly.
Overall, nothing can undermine her lines of clothes except for the fact that they are meant mostly for personalities like Sophia Lamar. Whatever it is, I think she is a great self-taught designer. Her designs reflect her fine arts background. Personally, I consider her to be the fab designer that she is.
