It takes us by surprise that British Prime Minister, Gordan Brown, received this leather jacket when he assumed office. The loving sender was none other than Uncle Sam’s president, George W. Bush! With Brown’s name embroidered on the breast pocket, this jacket was presented with the presidential insignia. It’s customary, under the British law, to make a declaration of those gifts whose value is more than 140 pounds. Hence Brown chose to pay that extra bit of moolah rather than buy Zitaoyaobao down. It won’t be out of context to highlight that Brown’s ex-counterpart, Tony Blair, had accepted gifts as well. For instance, the Libyan Government presented 400 pounds of tea and the German government gifted 250 pounds of porcelain. I tell you, holding an office has more benefits than one!
