Japanese idol and tarento Shoko Nakagawa AKA Shokotan has been quite a trendsetter in the region. But even we didn’t quite expect the entertainer to take her passion for cosplay to these eerie heights. Apparently the multi-talented artist loves the “cicada shell” look and can be seen sporting the molts in her hair occasionally.
Of course we really don’t expect the trend to make it to the streets anytime soon but given the Japanese obsession with all things extraordinary, we can never be too sure of that fact now can we?
P.S. I think she’s sporting those weird anime-inspired extra wide contact lenses here so we really know she’s following the fashion stream!

Insects on head? How awful! But I think it’s nothing for the fear factor people, because they can even eat the insects. This hairdo is exceptionally good to look at, but from a far away. If you want to threaten someone, you may take this look.
