Ciel’s AW08 came up with a new definition of glamour, when Sarah Ratty made it the only thing of attraction in the London Fashion Week on February 2008. This definition was well knitted with a typical colour combination of black, orange, purple and gold. The colours that are not only eye catchy but are in themselves the style statements. Sarah made a wonderful selection of silk satin, cupro cotton velvet and Indian hand block prints, to go with her gorgeous selection of colours. She made everyone believe that there can be none other choice than her designs to rock the glamour world. The combination in itself was tremendously mind blowing.

The creations of Sarah Ratty, expressed the attitude of partying just harder than ever. As she reveals that her inspiration are two grand periodical party eras, from two of history’s greatest party eras: Studio 54 and 1920s Art Deco, the idea gets clear. She recreated the trend that were set by Tamara de Lempicka, Michelle Phillips, Ali MGraw, Diane Keaton and Bianca Jagger. The attempt was no doubt brilliant and got great appraisals. As Ciel commemorates the old trendy fashionable definitions with a fusion of contemporary touch, the participants go crazy on the dancing floor. It was all about to feel the beautiful evening, decorated with textiles and colours. It was all about to feel the amalgamation of a historically remarkable and fashionable era with the trendy upgraded styles and combinations. In a word, it was a wonderful evening followed by a gorgeous dawn.
