Jewelries and fashion accessories have for so long been one-dimensional with the sole objective of beautification of its wearer. However, there are designers who want to make these accessories helpful devices by coming to the wearers’ aid in times of need. Kwang-seok Jeong, Min-hee Kim and Hyun-joong Kim have thought about giving their creations some extra functionality that would help people with impaired hearing.

The designers have conceptualized a pair of rings, dubbed the Vibering that would be fitted with sound detection sensors that would alert the wearer about honking cars, their distance and position from the wearer through vibration.

The sound detecting wristwatch conceptualized by these designers will display information on the watch’s display screen regarding sound sources and their position with ability to recognize the wearer’s name when it is called by some one from behind. Despite of all the niceties of these designer concepts, until and unless this concept becomes a reality no one will be able to reap the benefits of these accessories.
