Taking a cue from the celebrity fashion trend this season, it seems that displaying your bare shoulders has taken the back stage. Everywhere from the runways to the award nights, we are seeing leather jackets mounted over the party dresses. Diana Kruger was spotted early this year at the Chanel haute couture Spring/Summer 2008 in Paris in a fur bolero and Clemence Poesy was at the same spot in tuxedo jacket over a red dress. Since then we are seeing leather jackets everywhere. We’ve seen them in Jonathan Saunders’ Spring/Summer 2009 collection at the Fashion Week in New York. Taylor Momsen wore it, so did Scott Lilly and Hayden Panettiere. Becki Newton wore a leather jacket over a navy blue Gucci dress and Kate Holmes gave the leather jacket the smart street look.
