The hip denim brand G-star is now planning to expand its business into the States.
The very successful, trendy Dutch denim brand will mark their expansion plans by a fashion show in New York.
The company will launch the very popular G- star Raw line, along with their womenswear range in the States.
The exclusive hand made, raw Jeans, which debuted in 1996 retail from $1000 dollars. The superbly smart range is expected to be all a rage in States as well.
G-star North American director said, ‘If you want to be an international brand, you have to be strong in the US and Japan, which is what we are focusing on in 2007. The women’s market is stronger in the US than it is in Europe, so for us, this is a big change. We’ve hired a women’s design team and realize the importance of the women’s collection, so the show in New York will be mostly women.’
Lets hope that the brand imitates its past success in States as well.
