Today’s fashion world being swamped with ‘creative’ designers making clothes that are totally not wearable off the ramp, it’s always a good respite to see an evergreen name like Giorgio Armani on the catwalk.

His Spring/Summer 2008 collection, recently shown in Milan Fashion Week, consisted of elegantly tailored women’s wear. Like always, this collection of his too is traditional in both as per his designs and presentation. The collection showcased the range of clothes from day wear to eveningwear.
The daywear relied on a very light neutral color range with midi length skirts and shorts. Wrap over jackets, dresses which highlighted the return of a curvy shape were a main part of it.

The middle part of show showed a lot of blue which is being seen as the colour for the next season by the designers all over the world. Harem pants made with luxurious materials such as satin and chiffon, skirts with higher hemlines dominated the scene.
The eveningwear line showcased a lot of intricate beading, accessories like small, beaded sac-clutch bags, sequin skull caps and large statement jewellery. Almost all the dresses in the evening wear had plunging necklines.
