Jamiroquai lead singer Jay Kay has designed ‘JK for Hugo’ twenty piece capsule collection.
The new Hugo line is a younger, more hip range from the main Hugo Boss line and the singer was fully involved with the entire process.
He said, ‘I’ve always liked the idea of designing clothes. But I didn’t want to do it unless I could really get involved. What’s great about working with HUGO is the way you can suggest something, just to try it out, then this piece of clothing comes back.’
Jay Kay’s love for retro fashion clearly reflects in his designs. He added, ‘I love vintage. So I brought a load of stuff in for inspiration - including a really lovely Hugo jacket from a few years ago, which they didn’t recognize.’
