Here’s a trend that’s certainly not going to catch on anytime soon. Superdrug, a high street British store, has announced that it is looking at stocking makeup designed just for men. Named ‘Guy-liner’ and ‘Manscara’, the products aim to target “metrosexual” men who don’t want to use the stuff intended for ladies. According to the company, the ‘Guy-liner’ pencil is chunkier than the female equivalent and therefore easier to use for men who have bigger hands although they failed to specify how ‘Manscara’ differs from normal mascara.
Of course one wonders if men who do wear eye liner and mascara would want to abandon established cosmetics brands and try out a new player but the biggest question here has got to be whether straight men would wanna be caught wearing eye liner and mascara to work just yet!
