The rejuvenating qualities of vitamin E have long been known, but it has always been a difficult compound for formulators to work with.
The basic problem with vitamin E is that it is difficult to dissolve in water, and can gel only in heavy or oil-based formulations, making it difficult to apply to skin and reducing its efficacy. A team of pharmacists in Manchester has incorporated vitamin E within nano particle to formulate a gel which is easier to apply to skin.
Vitamin E is used in a lot of skin care products because of its ability to quench free radicals, protection against UV damage, reduction of inflammation and even help healing scars.
