Big prints and busy patterns have made their mark on this season, allowing women in plaids, checks, and funky-looking designs to be noticed.
This Fall Fashion Week, Oscar de la Renta showcased a black and white check-plaid shift dress lined with leopard at the collar and hemline.
Michael Kors’ version of the trend was a gray, black and white short-sleeved dress, paired with black thigh-high socks and a black knit cap.
Expect to see other eye-popping prints in coats, day dresses and even lingerie.
Homespun knits will surface in all forms this season, from natty hats and scarves to toasty knit sweaters, dresses, tights and handbags.
But while the look for fall is volume, don’t let the bulky fashion swallow you up. Pair bulky tops with bottoms that accent your silhouette and vice versa.
