Men have rarely understood ladies’ passion for shoes mostly because the footwear designed for them never really has the same appeal as our exclusive Jimmy Choos. But the first collaborative model between London’s Swear and Cassette Playa really aims at changing that forever. The funkiest sneakers in town since Converse, the collection’s hallmark shoe, the Playa 1 comes in black and white patent, as well as a remarkably livelier yellow patent version.

Housing the Cassette Playa logo on the inner sole, the exterior of the shoe can be equated to a wild flower or even a duo-chromatic psychedelic dream. Definitely not for the traditional shoe-lovers, the range makes bold pretences at breaking down the wall between men and women’ footwear collections. The shoes are currently on sale for £55 a pair as a part of the Spring/Summer 2008 collection of the maker and the retailer.
