Consumers’ demands are growing day by day. And this is not just limited to the sectors that get counted in the necessities for existence of an individual. These have expanded to the clothing industry too. Now, no more people just ask for trendy clothes, they also want functional clothing. Keeping this fact in mind, sari designers and retailers in Chennai began have made some radical style change in India’s very own garment; the six yard sari!
They have come up with designs that are a bit funny but yes, I am pretty sure that they would be tried. The list includes a sari featuring five thousand colors, a denim sari, a sari with a pocket and even a soya milk sari. The soya milk sari is designed to make you look fairer. They plan to come up with more innovative designs.
P S Mani, a partner in Chennai-based Kumaran Silks said,
‘We go on changing designs according to the tastes of youngsters and other people. We have heavy saris wedding means, simple saris for office goers and saris for party wear. For every occasion we have a sari.’
The designs are being made just to meet the changing demands, however, we all know that the original sari will always have that special place in our hearts and also in the fashion world.
