Teenagers wearing Bob Marley, Angela Davis or Ernesto “Che” Guevara on their T Shirts, head bands and wrist bands is not a very uncommon sight these days.



It is good to idolize historical icons by listening to their music or reading their autobiographies, wearing them on T shirts but the bad part is that most of the teenagers don’t even identify what they are sporting. For most of them, such T Shirts are latest fashion fads.



Most of them do it as it makes them feel empowered and strong.



I personally feel that much of the icons’ symbolism is lost when fashion retailers mass produce these products to feed the insatiable appetite of youngsters for innovative, new trends.
