The Royal College of Art, London has given an exciting start to the graduate student fashion season with collections being presented by the year’s MA degree stars. The team of 35 postgraduates created a futuristic line, which was no doubt stylish too. The collection had fun, clean cuts and sharp shapes as their main feature. The whole collection was moody and colors were vibrant.

Professor Wendy Dagworthy, head of fashion and textiles, said, “This year’s graduating students have produced a diverse, colorful collection with close attention to detail. There is an emphasis on silhouette and form both from womenswear and menswear. Millinery has a great sense of drama and footwear and accessories are beautifully-crafted. All of these elements make for a highly-accomplished, technically-skilled and wonderfully creative graduating year.”

Graduate Fashion Week which is sponsored by River Island, Europe’s largest platform for student talent, unites about1,000 BA graduates and their work is then put up for exhibition and catwalk.
