In Flint, Michigan, this popular style statement endorsed by many has now been made illegal courtesy the police chief of Flint. So now people sporting this hip-hop look on the streets of Flint can find themselves on the wrong side of law, land up behind bars for a year and be fined for upto $500! The “sagging pants” style may also grant the cops an authorized search warrant! The American Civil Liberties Union, however, is up against this weird law and fighting it out in court. According to them, the law should be done away with as it highlights a thoroughly racist mentality. Now that is truly an eye-opener for the law-makers as well the as trendsetters!
