The buyers were seen quite smitten by the collection presented by Sonam Dubal. Why not? After all, the guy took inspiration from the heavenly land of North East Assam. Dubal’s collection reflected his connection with his ancestral roots back home, i.e. Sikkim, Tibet and also some influence from the Midlands (China).



In a fast food like question thrown at him about his collection by Sahara Samay, he said that he is too awe inspired by the religion Buddhism that is why his fashion range mostly had an Oriental touch with two themes one is the Oriental and the other Indian Fashion.



His Fall/Winter 2006-07 collection named as ‘Cosmic Romance’ reflected his belief on the Shamanistic rituals of his Homeland. And true to the core his colors were mainly nature born ones like burgundy, rust, cobalt blue; creme, little bit of bright orange and the henna shade: the use of black as the base was just too exotic.
