The cruise collection were kicked off to a banging start by Dior. John Galliano comprised the various elements like color, style, detail and fabrics in his beautiful trade mark style and lo...the show was awesome. One statement that the show particularly made was sixties trends are back. Be it the thick eyeliner, false eyelashes or nest in place of hairstyles. Even the recent turban trend revived by Prada made a mark.
The season calls for big and it was evident in the collection too. Big neck and head jewelry, over-sized earrings, hair clips and rings stood out. Even the 60s full frocks and wide-brimmed hats were seen on the ramp. And while India is making its own mark in the world of international fashion, the Indian influence was seen in the collection.
