Moritz Waldemeyer has designed these costumes for the band OK Go in which he has used LEDs to spell out the band’s name. The band recently approached Waldemeyer to design costumes for their latest performance when Waldemeyer was clicked with idea of stitching LEDs into the jackets of the four performers that will turn each one of them into a moving light show.Waldemeyer says his inspiration came from the flickering lights of the slot machines from casino’s of Las Vegas.
When band will step on the stage, the LEDs embedded in their jackets will run to show the sequence of letters O,K,G,O to spell the band’s name.
Waldemeyer, 33, was born in East Germany. After moving to London 12 years ago he completed his masters in 2001. Since then he has collaborated many of the world’s top architects and fashion designers that included Phillippe Starck, Zaha Hadid, Thomas Heatherwick and Hussein Chalayan.
