Are you still reminiscing of the fluttering, flowy geishas that walked for John Galliano at the Dior show?
Well, all I have to say to you is-GET OVER IT!! ‘Cause here come the army of Genghis khan-ready to shock and awe!!

Okay so the exact inspiration wasn’t Genghis khan. For this collection full of extraordinary fabric treatments like hand painting or brocading on a suede sweatshirt, Galliano drew from the photographs of Peruvian tribes taken by Irvin Penn.

The proportions were immediately catching as he paired the huge over the fitted and short lay over long.

The from the tribal-cult like head gear to the velvet cod-pieces, the horned helmets and the knuckledusters, everything blended in frenzy of an overpowering savagery that dazzled with its primitive and sheer masculine appeal.

How DOES he do it?
Maybe there is a recipe to an ancient tribal concoction tucked away somewhere in the lining of one of those manic warlord capes!!
